ACTeN

Since the international digital media market is at present characterised by a lack of clarity about current and future trends, strong linguistic and cultural divides in Europe, focus on gadgets not on content creation and use, and highly segregated national markets, the monitoring of market innovations is urgently needed. ACTeN’s Content Market Monitor is a continuous technology and marketing watch directed towards national and regional market developments in the content and multimedia industry. It is set up to disseminate recent results from EU-funded research conducted under the framework programme 5 (1998-2002) and to prepare viable research questions of the next framework programme (FP6, 2002-2006). It does so by publishing monthly news items on developments in content and content-related technologies for content creators and content technologists. In addition to this, special reports are made available too. The monthly ACTeN Content Market Monitor Newsletter keeps you updated. Inform yourself about former subjects and get your personal edition at our CMM section at www.acten.net

Projects and Activities of EADiM Fellows and Members
One of the major objectives of the MOST Programme is to set up a co-operation mechanism between research centers and operators of cellular and stationary telephony in Poland, Germany, and in other countries of Central Europe.
The rationale for launching the MOST Programme is to set up a community of people and organizations in Central Europe seeking efficient ways and means for building a civic society, improving educational systems, supporting economic activities, and improving the functioning of the state and self-governmental administration by means of applying developed information technologies, in particular cellular telephone networks. www.most-program.org
